General Insurance GIC 2016 Officers Cadre of Assistant Managers

General Insurance Corporation of India Limited, invites online applications for recruitment of Officers in the cadre of Assistant Managers (Scale-I) based in its offices in India and abroad. Candidate must possess computer proficiency.


Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Manager on probation for a period of one year, which may be extended by a further period up-to one year. The initial posting of selected candidates will be at Corporate Office, Mumbai. All the positions are permanent and so the selected candidates on appointment may be posted or transferred to any place in India and abroad.

Your Age Limit Should Be: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years as on 23-March-2016. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.

You Will Get A Pay Scale: Rs.32795 -1610(14) – 55335 -1745(4) – 62315 and other admissible allowances

Processing and Examination fees To Be Paid: Rs. 500/-
Candidates can pay the fee through online mode only by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. SC/ ST category, PH (OH) candidates, and the employees of GIC and GIPSA Member Companies are exempted from the payment of processing and examination fees.

Procedure of Selection: Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test (held at Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, and Delhi) of 150 marks, Group Discussion of 20 marks, and Interview of 30 marks.
